We are excited to have The Honey Pot featured this month in The Beachcomber!

The hives from which the Waites harvest their honey are all located in Destin. They contain local pollen (visible as a slight cloudiness in the product) and many find a tablespoon or two a day of local honey helpful in dealing with allergies. Jerry notes that honey has a virtually unlimited shelf life--edible honey has been discovered in ancient Egyptian tombs. Natural honey crystallizes at about 68 degrees, but re-liquefies with gentle warming; Jerry suggests a short time on the dashboard of a parked car.
